TITLE: Mechanical Design Engineer with ACTIVE Secret Security Clearance (US Citizenship REQUIRED)
RATE RANGE: $90.00 - $110.00 Hourly OT40 W2 (no health benefits/no paid PTO while on contract)
LOCATION: Onsite in Fort Worth, TX 76108 (no relocation package)
SECURITY CLEARANCE: Active Secret Security Clearance issued by the Department of Defense
DURATION: 12+ month contract or contract to Hire

JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position is for a mechanical design engineer. The candidate will be required to perform mechanical and harness routing design activities for the installation of flight test equipment and data system components. The candidate will be responsible for releasing engineering drawings, work instructions, supporting airworthiness documentation, monitoring fabrication activities, and supporting aircraft modification.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, aeronautical engineering, or related discipline
3-5 years of CATIA V5 experience
3-5 years of 2D/3D mechanical design experience in an aerospace environment
Previous experience with instrumentation (flight or ground) preferred
Previous experience with the F-35 program-specific tools and processes
PREFERRED SKILLS:
Mechanical and Electrical Systems 6+ years
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
BS+16 YRS or MS+14 YRS
