- Strong background in DC power design, specifically focusing on analog circuit design.
- Experience with High Voltage DC (HVDC) power modules and transmission systems, with a strong preference for systems operating at 1,000V or higher.
- Designing and testing circuit cards and hardware intended for underwater or extreme environments.
- Multiple power topology design experience, ranging from low-power signal conditioning to high-power converters (kW+).
- Deep understanding of power electronics, semiconductor selection for high-stress environments, and HVDC technology.
- Backgrounds in oil and gas, solar, or battery sectors are highly applicable, provided there is strong DC power design experience.
- Expert-level understanding of electrical engineering CAD tools and mixed-signal circuit analysis; experience with Altium or Mentor Graphics is a significant plus.
- Solid use of electrical engineering concepts, principles, and theories in analog design and instrumentation.
- Advanced background in feedback loops and control systems.
- Comprehensive understanding of power system architecture, grounding, and isolation for subsea or marine environments.
- Strong troubleshooting ability: must be able to diagnose a problem by narrowing the point of failure sequentially through components.
- Use of specialized laboratory equipment such as spectrum analyzers and oscilloscopes for development, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Experience in writing specifications, requirements, and verification procedures for complex electronic systems and components.
- Motivation to drive innovation around design architectures, assembly, and component selection for both legacy and new designs.
- Exceptional collaboration and communication skills with demonstrated success leading design teams.
