Role: Senior Quality Engineer
Client: DOD-Aerospace
Location: Louisville, Kentucky
Duration: 6-month contract
Hourly Rate: up to $57/hr (W2, non-benefited)

Position Description:
- The Senior Quality Engineer plays a critical role in supporting manufacturing and engineering actions and supporting tiered management systems.
- The Senior QE will lead efforts in pull focuses on identifying and resolving defects, analyzing trends, managing corrective m improvement across cross-functional teams.
Required Skills:
- Analyze quality metrics and trends; provide data-driven insights to support continuous improvement.
- Identify and resolve product and process defects through robust Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA), including countermeasure sheets and 5-Whys.
- Interact and communicate with operators to confirm and reinforce quality requirements.
- Facilitate and participate in Measurement System Analysis (MSA) to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Perform and support containment activities in response to quality issues.
- Conduct and support internal process audits.
- Manage work packages and support Corrective Action Requests (CARs).
- Respond to Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) activities.
- Review technical documents and contractual quality requirements.
- Apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) skills to ensure design integrity.
- Detect and help define counterfeit part controls.
- Support and maintain Basis of Estimate (BOE) development for scope planning.
- Drive ROI-focused initiatives and continuous quality improvements.
Experience Required
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or related technical field.
- 10+ years work experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
- Minimum of 5 years in a quality engineering role, preferably in aerospace, defense, or manufacturing environments.
