 Mechanical Analysis Engineer

Long Term W2 Hourly Contract
$44.50 to $54.25 per hour DOE*

Given the nature of our work, all positions require US Citizenship.  

We are seeking a mechanical analysis engineer for an Undersea Mission Systems program.  If selected, you'll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for the design and analysis of critical undersea hardware.
 
Qualifications needed for success in this role include: 
  • US Citizenship is required along with the ability to pass background checks needed to obtain a Secret level Clearance.  Active clearance is a plus-but not required.  This is your opportunity to break into the cleared industry.  
  • Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field plus 5 years of job-related experience, or a Master degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.
  • Experience should include:
    • ANSYS and MATLAB analysis tools, and ability to train others on these tools
    • Shock Grade B by analysis
  • Strong knowledge of material specifications and metallurgy, especially as they relate to submarine requirements
  • Knowledge of weld types (MIL-STD-22) and processes (TP-1688 and 278)
  • Strong proficiency with modeling CAD tools, especially Creo, to create mechanical models and drawings
  • Extensive knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication methods, as well as technical, government, and industry standards
  • Collaborative, creative thinker with experience leading complex projects
  • Strong communication skills with ability to write technical papers and proposals
