Role: Electrical Hardware Design Engineer
Client: Defense-Aerospace
Hourly Rate: up to $75/hr W2, non-benefited  
Length: 12-month contract  
Location: Scottsdale, AZ
Must be a United States Citizen to apply.
 
Responsibilities: 
You will engage in all program phases, including requirements analysis, schematic capture, routing constraints definition, PCB/PWB routing oversight, and support for manufacturing, integration, testing, and qualification.
 
Required Tools & Experience:
  • Experience using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other lab test equipment.
  • An understanding of the hardware development process throughout the lifecycle of a program, including design for manufacturing and design for test.
  • Knowledge of Siemens Xpedition for schematic entry, constraint definition, and signal integrity/power integrity analysis.
  • Experience designing PCBs/PWBs, including using advanced materials, packaging techniques, and high-speed interfaces (10G+ Ethernet, PCIe Gen 4+, etc.)
  • Knowledge of VITA/VPX standards including VITA 46 and 65
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills, breaking down complex technical problems logically and finding efficient solutions.
  • Cross-disciplinary communication skills, working effectively with software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams.
  • Team collaboration, offering and receiving feedback constructively
 
Education: 
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.
