TITLE: Software Digital Signal Processing Engineer (US Citizenship REQUIRED)

RATE RANGE: $60/hr - $67/hr W2 (no health benefits while on contract)

CLEARANCE: Secret, obtainable within reasonable time based on requirements

LOCATION: Scottsdale AZ 85257 (no relocation package)

GeoLogics is currently seeking a MUOS Software DSP Engineer is our Scottsdale, AZ location.

 

As a Space Force MUOS DSP Engineer in the Space, Cyber & Intelligence Systems business area, you'll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for development and test of specialized solutions that are used by our warfighters worldwide on patrol in hostile environments, whether urban, canyon, mountains, or jungles - or even the Arctic Circle.  The system provides a familiar cellular phone-like service, allowing forces on the ground to communicate directly with others at higher levels of quality and much greater capacity than available through the current system.  Not only do we maintain the current live system, but you will help add new capabilities, enhancements and replaces end of life components. 

 

REQUIRED SKILLS

Knowledge of DSP and communications theory

Signals and Systems, FFTs, FIR filters, convolution, correlation, etc.

Communications or modem design and development

C/C++ and MATLAB, NumPy, Python, Gnu Radio or X-MIDAS

High performance computing

High speed (100G+) networking, switch setup, selecting switch, NIC and transceiver components

 IP networking, DPDK and MPI

Linux system administration, server set up and tuning for DSP

USRP hardware

Spectrum analyzer measurements

Ability to execute the DSP development process

Expertise in applying technical standards and methodologies to solve challenges in creative ways

Collaborative team player eager to provide technical leadership and positioning others for success

Thorough knowledge of technology trends and willingness to champion new ideas and process improvements

Commitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and others

Agile experience preferred.

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.
