TITLE: Software Engineer

RATE RANGE: $60 - $88.00/hr W2 (Based on Benefits Chosen while on contract)

ONSITE LOCATION: Richardson, TX

SCHEDULE: 9/80

DURATION: 12+ months Contract to Hire

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND SKILLS:

• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. Ability to obtain and maintain SCI program access and complete polygraphs 
• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of experience.
• Proficiency in Java, C, and C++
• Experience with networking including level of knowledge of both Transmission Control Protocol (TCP)  and User Datagram Protocol (UDP).
• Understanding/experience with MPEG-2 and other FMV transport streams
• Understanding/Experience with KLV metadata and MISB standards

 DESIRED SKILLS: 

• Experience/Exposure to Moving Target Indicator (MTI) formats and data
• Experience with GStreamer, FFMPEG, or other video libraries
• Experience or familiarity with Agile development methodologies
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively diagnose and address issues

POSITION OVERVIEW

• This position will support the sustainment and modernization of a FMV video streaming capability supporting a large quantity of simultaneous video streams.
• This individual will implement and maintain the processing, remediation, and routing of video streams to support a key real-time mission capability as part of an Agile development team.
• The individual will be expected to interact with the operations team and other programs to identify root cause and support resolution of issues discovered with the FMV capabilities in operations.
