Electro-Mechanical Technician needed: Middletown, RI.   
 
We have an opening with a great client of ours and we are looking for an Electro-Mechanical Technician work in Middletown, RI.  This is a 6 Month contract to hire position and you must be a US Citizen to apply. Required: US Citizenship and Residency, W2 hourly Contract Only, No 1099, No third parties, no C2C.  No exceptions (Sorry)
 
Pay: $30 to $35/hr. D.O.E. 
 
ELECTRO-MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN 
Candidates will support the manufacturing of US Navy systems and to provide support to engineering teams and the facility in areas such as: electrical assembly, mechanical assembly, system-level test, lab fixture development and fabrication, and lab alterations to meet project needs.  Candidates will be relied on to conduct assembly, test, troubleshooting, inspection and operation of a variety of test and assembly equipment, including facility and lab infrastructure modifications to support development, test, and production programs. 
 
Duties and Tasks
  • Assemble and test circuit cards and electro-mechanical systems in accordance with specifications and work instructions
  • Perform rework, modification, and repair of electronic assemblies
  • Build cable assemblies
  • Work with moldings and epoxies
  • Build test fixtures and perform facility/lab infrastructure alterations
  • Operate standard laboratory test equipment and automated test systems
  • Keep accurate records for build information, anomalies, defects and test data
  • Contribute to the workplace organization initiatives
  • Provide feedback to manufacturing engineers on ways to improve procedural steps and process implementation
  • Support travel to test facilities as needed
 
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Able to read, understand and follow technical drawings, datasheets, schematics, and written work instructions
  • Possesses basic computer skills and proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Experience using electronics test equipment
  • Experience using hand tools and small power tools
  • Maintains good attendance record
  • Strong organizational skills
